WHAT WE BELIEVE

 

  1. We believe the Bible to be the verbally inspired Word of God -- both Old and New Testaments -- and it is the final authority in Faith and Life
    (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
  2. We believe in the Trinity -- the Triune God -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit -- co-equal in Power and Glory (Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2).
  3. We believe Jesus Christ was Virgin-Born and is True God and True Man, He died voluntarily as the Substitutionary and Vicarious Sacrifice for sin, He rose from the dead, He ascended into Heaven, and He is the Believer‘s Advocate and High Priest (Luke 1:35; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4).
  4. We believe that a person must be Born Again, Saved, and it is not of his own works but by the Grace of God (John 3:3-8; Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8-9).
  5. We believe in the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in Glory and Victory (Acts 1:11; Hebrews 9:28).
  6. We believe there is a personal devil -- with power only so far as God allows -- who will ultimately be sent to the lake of fire and brimstone (1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 20:10).
  7. We believe that man (Adam), created in the image of God, fell into sin and brought death upon himself -- and that we inherit this sin -- and man must be Born Again by God‘s Grace through Faith in Jesus Christ (Genesis 1:26-28; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:10; 1 Peter 2:24).
  8. We believe that the punishment of the wicked and unbelievers and the reward of the Righteous are Everlasting and Conscious (Matthew 25:46; 2 Corinthians 5:1).
  9. We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, a spiritual organism composed of Born-Again people, and the primary mission of the Church is to witness of Jesus Christ and to preach the Gospel to all nations (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14).
  10. We believe that all Born-Again people upon conversion should be Baptized by Total Immersion in water (Mark 1:10; Acts 8:38).
  11. We believe that all True Believers should participate in the Lord’s Supper (Communion) on a regular basis after personal self-examination and personal confession to God (Corinthians 11:23-31).
